This is a 1987 Porsche 928 S4 Manual RHD finished in Marine Blue with a cream leather interior. The clock shows 100,000 miles.

Unveiled at the Geneva Salon in 1977 and voted Car of the Year for 1978, the front-engined 928's stylish hatchback body used aluminium for the doors, bonnet, and front wings, while ingenious impact-resistant 'bumpers' made of color-matched plastic were incorporated in the nose and tail. The V8 engine – Porsche's first - displaced 4.5 litres and produced 234bhp. A five-speed transaxle gearbox or three-speed automatic were the transmission options. In 1982 the 928 'S' with 4.6-litre engine arrived and then in 1986 the model was further revised and restyled, becoming the 928 'S4'. Its engine producing 320bhp courtesy of 32-valves and enlargement to 4,957cc, the 'S4' enjoyed a welcome top speed boost to over 160mph.

This lovely example is a rare 1987 Porsche 928 S Manual (one of only 75 made for UK market with a manual gearbox). It was the previous owners pride and joy for 17 years- he stated that it never let him down having been well maintained and stored in his garage.

The exterior is in great condition and we believe it to be the original paint. There is a few minor stone chips on the bonnet and front bumper and we noticed some light bubbling under the paint on the front wings. That said, the paint presents really well given its age. The  alloy wheels have been recently powder coated and 4 x new Pirelli P Zero tyres fitted.

Inside, the seats are in great condition as are the carpets, door cards and headlining. The dash has recently been removed and repaired as there were a few cracks (a very common issues) and the boot carpet has had some fraying recently repaired too.

The previous owner (who owns his own garage) recently spent £6000 on the car including new Pirelli tyres, re-gassed air con, fuel lines cleaned and resealed, dipstick rubber replaced, new belts for alternator, new front and rear discs and pads, the timing belts were done two months ago (the sticker is under the bonnet with mileage stamp), water pump replaced, new HT leads and it has also had a full service. Last year the battery was replaced, new fuel pump and the filters and under bonnet sound proofing also were replaced.

The car starts first time and has no trouble with the engine or gearbox and passed an MoT in June of 2022. The car also comes with the relevant number plate of RGX 928.

This rare, well looked after manual with reasonably low mileage would be significantly more at a London dealership.
