This is a 1970 LHD Fiat 124 Sport Spider, finished in dark metallic green with black vinyl interior. The speedometer shows 4,000 Km. We believe the car has done 104,000Km (65,000miles) from new but this can't be confirmed.
The Fiat 124 Sport Spider is a 2+2 convertible sports car manufactured by Fiat Automobiles for model years 1966-1980. Designed and manufactured by Italian carrozzeria Pininfarina, the monocoque, front-engine, rear wheel drive Sport Spider debuted at the November 1966 Turin Motor Show. Fiat later marketed the car as the 2000 Spider (1979-1982), and Pininfarina marketed the car at the end of its production as the Pininfarina Spider Azzura (1983-1985).
This lovely example has a new Black Mohair Soft Top, rebuilt 1756cc Twin Cam Engine by Fiat 124 specialist DTR Sportscars, 5 Speed Gearbox and Steel Wheels with hub caps.
This car was imported to the UK in 1994 and has had 4 previous owners. It was purchased by a previous custodian in 2014 and he spent over £9, 500 with DTR Sportscars in 2015 having a complete engine rebuild, new clutch, new suspension bushes and ball joints, new brakes including discs, pads and hoses, anti-roll bar bushes, cam belt, electric cooling fan and numerous other parts. Since these repairs it has had new Electronic Ignition fitted including an uprated Ignition Coil, a new Water Pump and a new Black Mohair hood in November 2016. The car was then purchased again in 2018 as outlined in the history file which contains many previous MOT certificates as well as several invoices attesting to the fact that this car has been well looked after and has had plenty of money spent on it in recent years.
The car was MOT'd until 2018 with no advisories. This handsome car is in lovely condition throughout, drives superbly and is ready for a new owner to enjoy her in the coming summer months!
