How about this for a useable, practical and uber cool Sixties Saloon. It is a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280S Saloon finished in Mid Metallic Blue with Blue Leather Interior. It has covered about 100k Miles from new, has the great Column Mounted Manual Gearbox and Beautifully easy Power Steering. She was sold new to the warm climate of South Africa and was imported to the UK in 2017. She has been used regularly and serviced well since then. She is a genuine Factory Right Hand Drive example of a very rare model.

During the winter of 1967/1968, Mercedes-Benz launched its new generation of vehicles. This new model was known as the Stroke Eight. With its improved performance the new 280S could achieve 0-60mph in 12.5 seconds and push on to 115mph. A better arrangement of cylinders and filters improved both cooling and economy. The outstanding qualities of this new vehicle shaped a whole generation of cars. Today it is an established classic with its Straight Six Cylinder, 2.8 Litre, Carburettored Engine.

Our car has an MOT and is Tax Free, she has been recently serviced, drives perfectly, and is ready for use as a daily driver or weekend show car. the bodywork is very nice indeed in the perfect shade of Blue, and the interior, whilst a little scruffy in places is a lovely place to sit. The front seats have a split along the seam, but everything else is in a nice original condition. This is an awful lot of car for the money, a real classic from the golden era of Mercedes manufacture.
