The C2 of 1963-1967 really set Chevrolet’s cash registers ringing and left us with arguably the most desired and collectable Corvette to date. Designed by Larry Shinoda, it featured a new ladder-type chassis penned by Zora Arkus-Duntov, the most significant aspect of which was the move from cart springs to independent rear suspension.

This superb car is 5.3-litres of American muscle finished in the eye-catching combination of Riverside Red bodywork, red interior trim and a white hood. This lefthand drive C2 is powered is powered by the optional 340bhp version of Chevrolet’s 327ci small block V8 and drives though a four-speed manual transmission that’s topped by a Hurst shifter.

This car was imported to the UK in 1991 and purchased by the previous owner in 2005 from renowned marque specialists Claremont Corvette of Snodland in Kent. It’s a matching numbers example that has been well cared for, retains lots of original features, drives well and looks fantastic.  The powerplant and gearbox are excellent and the two-seater bodywork, paintwork and upholstery are in great condition. In recent times the car has been treated to a variety of new parts, including: custom radiator, custom exhaust, battery, white wall tyres, brake master and wheel cylinders. The pop-up headlamps operate exactly as they should and have been upgraded with H4 bulbs. The odometer of this exciting item of Americana currently registers an unwarranted 33,689 miles, and the car comes complete with spare wheel, jack and wheelbrace and two sets of keys. An owner’s manual and car cover are also available.

This car was serviced in June of 2022. Accompanying the car is a hard top in very good condition, although it's currently blue.

This is a very smartly presented, matching numbers example equipped with the optional 340bhp engine and manual transmission. She's recently been fitted with a number of new parts and has only covered a few hundred miles since a spotless MoT in 2017. A great looking car at a great price!
